What Should I Look for When Choosing a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Centre?

When selecting a drug and alcohol recovery centre it’s important that you ask questions to ensure you find one that’s best suited to help you achieve your rehab goals. But before doing that, you must establish what your rehab goals are.

Define What a Successful Recovery Centre Experience Looks Like to You.

Would completing an alcohol or substance recovery programme and remaining sober for 30 days be a success? Or 6 months? How about a year? Before selecting a recovery programme decide with your loved ones what success would look like for you.

Choosing the right programme makes it more likely that you will successfully complete the programme, leave the programme sober, and maintain your sobriety once life returns to normal.

House of Hope Recovery Centre: Programme Choice

There are two main programmes at House of Hope. Firstly, where a patient stays in our alcohol and substance recovery house for 30 days. And secondly our 14-day afternoon and evening programme, for when a patient is unable to step away from the responsibilities of daily life. There are many advantages and disadvantages to both, so the right choice really depends on the individual’s needs.

Typically, our 30-day recovery rehab programme has a higher long-term success rate, yet it is the more expensive option, and it can interrupt daily life. Alternatively, our introductory programme still has a considerable long-term success rate, whilst allowing patients to maintain more of their normal routine.

There are many different therapy and treatment models to tackle drug and alcohol addiction. So, it’s important to research different types of therapies to find which works best for you.

Our drug and alcohol recovery centre is grounded in a holistic approach and the AA 12-step tradition. Guests become aware of their condition, embrace honesty, and take direction to abstain from their addiction and to create a much higher quality of life.
